I think we can all agree that some days are more difficult than others. Sometimes we feel depleted, broken down, unmotivated and it can certainly create a very unappealing mindset and outlook on life. Fortunately this scenario isn’t always the case but when it does occur, finding a way out of the morass can be very challenging.
In today’s world where an unrelenting stream of bad news and tragedy is merely a click or a swipe away it seems easier than ever to be buried in bad before the day really begins. Have you noticed that? For myself I’ve turned off my news alerts to help mitigate the flood.
So the quotes today speak to a quiet, yet powerful, source of energy we can tap into when feeling stuck. That is the amazing power of continuing to move forward. However slow, the ability to keep moving will take us out of the less enjoyable times and back to a better zone. It doesn’t have to be the whole solution. Heck, it doesn’t even have to be pretty, just keep taking steps and you’ll get there.
If things are feeling overwhelming or if the challenges you face just look too big to handle, that’s the time to remember that you can get through by focusing on just taking that next step.
What next step can you take to kick yourself out of idle and start moving down the road again?
By my way of thinking life doesn’t appear to be won by racing to the end but rather by making each step count!
One day at a time… one step at a time.
